1986 Mahomet-Seymour High School Alumnus

Brian uniquely paved the way for using his talents across the whole music and drama spectrum.

Brian was in starring roles in Mahomet-Seymour madrigals, show choir, and choral music all four-years of his high school career. His senior year, he was chosen for the highest state honor as part of the All-State Honors Choir for the Illinois Music Educators Conference and he was a Thespian Society inductee.

After graduation, Brian received an internship at Sullivan’s Little Theater on the Square. Brian played a lead role in their production of Fiddler of the Roof. He is a graduate of Illinois State University’s Theatre School where he was awarded the Jean Scharfenberg Acting Award.

Brian went on to pursue acting and singing on stage for the next 20 years. He starred in a great deal of productions all over the country including West Side Story, Shenandoah, Comedy on the Bridge, and Carousel. He performed in the role of Enjolras in both the Broadway and national tour of Les Misérables and he was a lead role in the world premiere of The Visit. Brian performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company in Straford-upon-Avon, England. He was an inaugural cast member on the Disney Wonder cruise ship and sang the national anthem for the Chicago Cubs.

Brian was also a football and basketball letterman. He was a team captain of the 1986 state semi-final football team. He was an All-Area and All-Conference first team middle linebacker that year.

Brian is now retired and spends as much time as he can with his two daughters, Louisa and Madeleine. Brian still sings in the church choir and returned to Mahomet-Seymour to perform in a benefit for the school’s choir.
