Brett Camden is a 1989 graduate of Mahomet-Seymour High School. As a wrestler, he set many school records that still stand today. He also ranks high in many categories in the all-time Illinois wrestling record books.

Brett is Mahomet-Seymour’s only three-time state champion. He placed first at 98 lbs in 1987, first at 112 lbs in 1988, and first at 125 lbs in 1989. He also placed fourth at 98 lbs in 1986.

Brett holds many school records in wrestling. He is the all-time leader for victories with 175. He also has the record for best winning percentage with 95.7%. He is tied for second for the most falls in school history with 79. He is second for victories in one season with 50. He set this mark his senior season with a perfect 50-0 record.

Brett is ninth on the IHSA record list for consecutive matches won with 86. He is also 13th on the state record list for technical falls with 38. In 1989, he was the Illinois Class A Wrestler of the Year, a USA Wrestling All-American, and an Asic Tiger High School All-American. He was inducted into the Illinois Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2006.
